Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Our comprehensive eye examinations are available privately or under the NHS and normally lasts about 30 minutes.

Our eye examinations include:

  • Examining the interiors of your eyes, checking for signs of problems affecting their general health, such as checking for glaucoma.
  • We test your eyesight using highly accurate instruments.
  • We take precise measurements of your eyes’ ability to see clearly.
  • We recommend eye examinations once every two years to avoid missing eye-related problems you might not be aware of.

    Eye examinations are available at these times:
    9:30am-7:30pm - Wednesdays
    9:30am-5:30pm - Fridays
    9:30am-5:30pm - Saturdays

    NHS funded eye examinations are carried out for patient with exemptions

  • Patient over 60.
  • Children under 16.
  • Full time students.
  • Patients receiving income support.
  • Pension credit guarantee.
  • Income based job seekers allowance.
  • Tax credit.
  • HC2 valid certificate.
  • Registered blind or partially sighted registered with local authority.
  • Suffer from diabetes/ glaucoma.
  • If you are considered to be at risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist/hospital.
  • If you are 40 plus and related i.e parent, brother, sister or child of a person who has or had glaucoma.
  • You have been prescribed complex lens under the NHS optical voucher scheme.
  • Categories 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 will also get help towards their spectacles under the NHS voucher scheme.
