Corneal refractive therapy testimonial:
I have very weak Eye Sight wearing
glasses of -14. I started wearing glasses from the age of 6. I remember my first
day at school. I was admitted in Primary School Class 1. At lunchtime I was sent
home with a note to my parents not to send me to school without having corrected
my Eye Sight. I had my first pair of glasses at the age of 6. At that time my
spectacle lenses were of -6. I have suffered very much due to my dependence on
glasses. I used to get my glasses broken very often when I went out to play.
Therefore, I was not allowed to go out to play.
Although,
I was good at sport, my progress was hindered, as I can’t do without my
glasses. During my teens I envy students wearing different type of Sunglasses.
Once, I succeeded in persuading my Dad to get my glasses tinted so it looked
like Sunglasses. Soon someone snatched it while I was wearing it and I was
blinded, until I got a new pair. From that day onwards I always had two pair of
glasses. I had never imagined my life without glasses.
Lately
I became aware of Laser Treatment. But I was scared as it had certain element of
risk. During one of my visit to my optometrist I came across this advert saying
*Alternative to Laser *. Upon enquiry, I was explained about this Corneal
Therapy.
Initially,
I was hesitant, as I had never heard of it before, and had my doubts whether it
can really work. Also, the treatment is expensive and on going. My optometrist
assistant, Dipti has a very pleasant and persuasive nature. Ultimately, I was
persuaded to take a dive – as she mentioned Dr. Barot’s two sons were also
on the therapy.
I
thank my optometrist who has really changed my life. With my heavy prescription
lenses and my presbyopic eye sight and floaters, it was a difficult task. But
with his confidence, within few weeks time, things started working well for me.
I could see both near and far.
Now, I
do not have to put up with heavy pair of spectacles. I look younger and can go
swimming without bothering for goggles. I used to be helpless without my
glasses. I always had to carry two pair of spectacles for emergency. Glasses get
steamed up when you move from cold to a warm area.
I am now relieved from all this botheration.
